Defining my artwork has always been a challenge for me. The work has always been an attempt to use visual language to record social dynamics. Marrying my background in cultural anthropology to the creative process, my art is actually an attempt to make sense of our societal norms as I have observed them.

My works on paper explore notions of play and personal interaction. This interest is also found in my events or Happenings. Inspired by the impromptu and playful spirit of Fluxus, these works invite the public to expand their notion of art and become a part of the working process.

Currently, I am exploring two separate yet related concepts in my work. The first is the notion of play, its social value, and the cultural reservations that exist around this natural behavior. The second is a bit harder to define. If I had to say what I see in the work, it would be an attempt to give form and aesthetics to the phrenetic energies that define the individual experience of contemporary life.
